The sun is in the sky (performance)

“This performance was the result of an artistic residency in Azevedo, a more rural neighbourhood of Porto, where Adega Associação is located. Throughout the residency, I created an entity from leftover materials and trash I found in the area—fabrics and recycled or found materials. This being seeks to communicate with the spiritual and invisible presence of the place. The performance took place on Midsummer Day, the longest day of the year. It investigates the moment of doing something intentionally: how intention can transform an action, a gesture, or a shape. Without a religious purpose, it simply explores the act of holding a thought for someone or something. I invited people to place an object carrying this intention on one of the sites I created to receive them.”
