“Lucid Dreams of a Static Beast” emerges from the unstable, liminal state of mourning, in which the absolute awareness of the opposition between life and death is continuously explored. Yet, its contradictions remain unresolved and all attempts to reconcile them are doomed.

The images delve into a haunted mental space inside a heartbroken body, enacting a form of exorcism—a ritual that seeks a hallucinatory encounter with the deceased. The ultimate aim is to transform the spirit’s grief from “static to fluid,” a process marked by constant oscillation between separation and assimilation, light and shadow, healing and trauma, overcoming and integration.”
