The presentation of the event was thought and created together with Francisco Babo.
From the beginning on we wanted to present it together and think of a self that is divided or literally split/ halfed in two! We got somehow inspired by the legends of Judith beheading Holofernes. Paralelly we wanted also to give it a twist and tell a love story.

Cabaré Brutal is directed by Rick Lins and José Oliveira and regularly gathers performative acts of various artists, that work in Porto.

The first edition, which took place in Auditório do CCOP in Porto counted with the presence of Andrés Montes, João Brojo&Felícia Teixeira, Bitcho, Fernando Sebastião, Felipe Felizardo, Helena Carneiro, Filipe Garcia e os Artristas-

Also here the presentation of the event was thought and created together with Francisco Babo. Due to the pandemic this event was first canceled, after it happened and it was surely a big luck and relief to have happened for everyone involved. People did not have had access to a real live event and this circumstance, like many other particular conditions that turned out to be normal in 2020, made those two evenings very special.
We as presenters wanted somehow to integrate the the physical and emotional stage that we were living. So, this time, we created a 100% firesafe sarcastic astronaut that was somehow really frustrated with its body. The body was more like a bigger marionette and not really flexible nor capable of great movement, being manipulated from the inside. The head instead could move on its own. Throughout the different acts the body was changing, loosing parts and gaining other. Both caracters start a kind of decomposing until the final scene, where both were ultimately unified, appearing with the whole suit.
